IT professional experienced as a Frontend Developer and Sysadmin, and in hardware installation and optimization.
Capable in TypeScript and JavaScript, Ruby, Python, & BASH. HTML5 + CSS3. ♡ React 🐧 Linux. And I speak human too!
I build with interactive web technologies to engineer interfaces which quickly convey complexities without overwhelming the user.
I've found React to be a perfect tool for creating seamless frontends for this communication.

Tutored high schoolers to improve their scores on the SAT college admissions test. Personal Projects

  • TransitOrb

    Live | GitHub

    Arrival Times for every tracked transit agency in the Bay Area.
    My goal was to simply display a few hardcoded stops;
    however once I dove into the api it was straightforward to extrapolate to the whole region.
    Highlights are my smart shortcuts and user anticipating API calls,
    as well as live vehicle tracking, a feature not available in other apps.
    The Live Filter handles thousands of stop objects with relative efficiency.
    Feature Requests: User-Defined Departures Board and Cellular GPS integration.

Real Life

When I manage to tear myself away from the keyboard, I am most likely to be found in the forests, on the mountains, or at the beaches.
My other interests include music and its history, as well as production.
Gardening and birdwatching are more suburban pursuits, but I am lucky enough to find them here.
Cooking and Bicycling are still chores, but I find enjoyment through focus and practice, sharpening them as skills.

Since moving back to San Francisco I have loved exploring its nooks and crannies, it seems every day I discover a new alley or hole-in-the-wall!
